Tako Mekvabidze is a Georgian fashion designer and a founder of a Georgian brand Tako Mekvabidze. International celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Macy Gray, Keti Melua, Malaika Arora, Lindsey Vonn and many more enjoy wearing clothes designed by Tako.
Tako Mekvabidze was born on July 14, 1985 in Batumi, Georgia (Country). She graduated from Tbilisi State University, faculty of design in 2006.
Tako Mekvabidze is the founder and the creative director of the brand Tako Mekvabidze. Tako was featured in world class fashion magazines, like Vogue, L'Officiel, Zoe etc.
Tako actively participates in fashion shows in Georgia as well abroad, including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Fashion Week Tbilisi etc.
Tako's latest open air cruise show was held in Batumi Boulevard which caused a lot of buzz in local, as well as international media. The show was covered by Zoe magazine, Who What Wear, L'Officiel.
Her artistic style combines nature and cultural love to color and texture.
She is sustainable fashion advocate and passionate about designing clothing that helps every woman feel exceptional and confident.
Tako prefers to work with fabric that have airy and sensual feel like silk, lace, velvet... She believes that essence of every woman is energy, passion, kindness, love and self-expression.
